Popular Items uses your information to help you discover products and keep your want list.
Your account and saved products
When you sign in with ChatGPT, we receive a site-specific account ID, your email address, and your name when available. We store your profile and the products you save so your want list is available across devices. Existing anonymous saves from this browser are added to your account when you sign in. Your profile and want list are private to you and the Popular Items owner.
Optional email updates
Marketing updates are optional and off by default. If you choose to receive them, we record your preference and the time it was updated. You can change your choice on your want-list page or email info@popularitems.com.
Browser storage and site analytics
Without signing in, your want list is kept in this browser’s local storage. We also store its product IDs under a random browser identifier in a first-party cookie to count guest saves. This does not include your name or email. Clearing browser data can remove your local list and reset its identifier. When you sign in, transferred saves are removed from the guest counts to avoid counting them twice. We record page views, on-site search terms, referring sources, and retailer clicks to improve the catalog. Aggregated analytics, including search terms, are publicly visible; do not put private information into search fields. Public analytics also show aggregate product save counts in Most wanted. Individual shopper profiles and saved lists are never shown.
Service providers and retailers
The site uses OpenAI Sites for hosting and authentication and Cloudflare storage for catalog and account records. Product images may load from third-party image providers. When you follow a buying link, that retailer’s privacy practices apply. Some links may earn us an affiliate commission.
Contact and deletion requests
We retain your profile and saved products to provide your account until you request deletion. To request access, correction, or deletion of your account information, contact info@popularitems.com.
